I must say, I REALLY love these photos! They're diverse, her poses are different, and she's got her own style! We shot all of these in the alley where I live. I was surprised to get so many different looks in such a small area without moving once. I really love these photos. Again I can feel my style changing and shifting and I like it!

Photo Shoot - Andrea Brooks

Well, this photoshoot actually took place in October of 2007. It was really one of my first photoshoots, using my old Canon 20D (which wasn't a great camera in my opinion), and mostly natural lighting as I didn't have any artificial lighting back then, and shot on a day that was raining and cold. By the end of the night, it was snowing.

This shoot is still one of my favorite shoots, and Andrea went on to grace the cover of Playboy Magazine with her best friend Adrienne Curry just a few short months after our photoshoot. She's a spectacular model, and one of the sweetest people you could ever imagine meeting. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to have shot her!

Nothing quite like shooting on a cold day. I really thought I might lose a finger or two during this shoot! And poor Melissa! Having negative degree wind chill wind blowing on you when you're half naked cannot feel too great. At least the shots were well worth it! Thank you Melissa for being a good sport, and a huge thanks to Tosha from Aphrodite Affairs for doing the lovely makeup for this shoot. These photos look so beautiful with the wind, I think I may take a GIANT fan with me to every shoot now! ;)

You may be asking yourself at this point: "Are all of her friends beautiful?" - and the answer is YES! I have gorgeous friends! Here is another long time very close friend of mine, who sadly (for me anyway) moved to Paris a few months ago. Before she left, we squeezed in a photoshoot, that would go down as one of my favorites. Lesley is amazing to shoot. Virtually effortless. The camera loves her, and her photos are moving and sensual without her even trying. I'm working on getting to Paris to shoot her in the fashion capital of the world!

I did a pretty cool photo shoot with my friend Gretchen last week. She's never modeled before, she's a total tomboy, avid snowboarder, but she wanted to take some photos for Christmas for her boyfriend!! We had fun shooting, played with lots of different outfits, and ended up with a few different style photos!! The post processing on these is a bit different then my normal style but it fit this shoot, and I like it! Here are some of my faves!

So this shoot was a really fun, creative, collaborative shoot. Everyone got together and put together some fun ideas, not all of them make complete sense, but the photos came out great and we had a blast, so that's all that matters to me!!! We shot with two Chevy Bel-Airs which were SO pretty, and three of my friends - Leslie, Whitney, and Melissa. Clothing was provided by Scandalous Couture, and fun was had by all!

Brittni Lynn - The Doppledanger / Good & Bad

Remember when I told you about Brittni Lynn...well, this photoshoot is a good example of what an amazing and dynamic model she is. You just don't get any more photogenic then this girl! This shoot dates back to 2007, and was really when I was just starting out as a photographer.

This was our second shoot together, and let me tell you, probably my favorite shoot I've ever done. Going through these images again made me realize how much I LOVED this Canon 15mm Fish Eye lens. I think it's time to save up the $$ and get one to own!! This is what I do for fun. Crazy collaboration photoshoots, in very neat locations (in this case, and abandoned/burnt down farm that we stumbled on) and in the end you get some fantastic photos!!

I'm going to talk about this photo for a second. This is a good example of chance, and elements coming together. We found this tape at the location, in an old broken down trailer. The tape was everywhere and Brittni decided it would be fun to play with. The weather had turned sour, got windy, and this is what we ended up with. An amazing shot that I will forever love!

Von Blondie - Farm Girl Editorial Shoot

This is one of my top 3 favorite fashion shoots. Probably one of the few photo shoots that turned out to be very editorial, as I had planned [that doesn't always happen lol] Some of these photos actually blow me away. In particular, the first image. I think I'm going to print it and hang it in my home :) Funny how a fairly last minute shoot can come together to be something SO rad!!!

One of the greatest things about being a photographer, is being able to observe precious relationships. This one is one of them. And its so very appearant in the photos. It's heart warming to see such a solid father/son relationship and friendship as these two have. I had a great time spending the afternoon with the so very sweet Doug, and his wide eyed son Blayne!! Sorry there's kind of a lot from this shoot. There were just too many cute photos I had to put them all up!

Meet Brittni. A model that I met when I first moved to Denver. She was a very popular, sought after model, and I had the chance to shoot with her once, which turned into a great friendship, and MANY photo shoots to follow. You will see her face around here in quite a few shoots once I get everything uploaded. She's an AMAZING model, as well as equally talented makeup artist. Every time we got together, we made beautiful photos! Unfortunately [for me] she moved to Los Angeles, where she is very happy. but I am left without my muse!

JORDAN A THE SKATE PARK

JOURNEY TO THE MOUNTAINS

This past weekend I went to the mountains with some of my favorite people in the world for a little get away, complete with beers, board games, and some good old fashion hanging out. It's always so good to get out of the city. I look at sky scrapers every day, so I always jump at the chance to get into some fresh mountain air and trees!

As goes with adventure in my life, my camera came along!!

I did a shoot with Miss Whitney over the weekend. I've shot her 3 times now, and it's always so easy for me. I don't have to direct her hardly at all, she photographs beautifully, and I really just take the photos, and then make them beautiful! She did an 80's costume for Halloween and I took full advantage of her 80's gear!! I LOVE these photos. The colors, the poses, they all came out so beautiful!!

I had to do a Halloween shoot right? It's my favorite holiday! My friend Melissa was a perfect candidate. I knew she was going to be a vampire, and she's a great model, so it all just kind of came together last minute and worked out well!!

The 4th Annual "Zombie Crawl"

The 4th annual Denver Zombie Crawl took place at Skyline Park in Denver, on Saturday 10/24/09. I must say, this was A TON OF FUN!!! I've never been to one of these, and it was absolutely hilarious watching 20-30 zombie's chase the people marked as "targets" and pretend to eat them lol. Not to mention all of the amazing costumes, and blood being everywhere. I felt like I was in a movie!! I can't wait to do this again next year! (only I will participate, and be a zombie photographer) ;)

Photoshoot - Vanessa Heart w/ Katie O'Shea - Steam Punk Collaboration

I did a fun photo shoot over the weekend, aiming for a "steam-punk" theme. I had a wonderful hair stylist on board, Katie O'Shea, and a great model, Vanessa Heart (www.vanessaheart.com). It was a long day for the girls getting Vanessa's hair done, but everything came together really well, and we all ended up with some great shots!! Vanessa was sweet enough to send me this comment after our shoot: "I have to say... I have worked with alot of photographers and you were the most chill and most professional. The pics looked amazing and they were very natural. I can't wait to see what you created!" Thx Vanessa! I'm sure we'll be working together again in the future!!

I had the privlidge of shooting another great show in Denver, LTJ Bukem, known as the "Godfather" of Drum and Bass, featuring MC Conrad, both from the UK. It was a great show, with great vibes. A short fight broke out in front of the Dj booth, but Bukem put a quick stop to that. We don't want that negative stuff at shows right? Unfortunately the way the Dj booth was set up didn't give me much room to shoot different angles or points of view, so my shots were limited. San Francisco - 10.09.09

Well my trip to San Francisco has come and gone. Seemed a bit too quickly, but I did have a great time. We saw some great friends, made some new ones, ate some fantastic food, went on some adventures that were full of laughter, and then before I knew it, it was time to board the plane again. Much thanks to our gracious host Tony for letting us destroy his place over the weekend (lol) and for the many friends we made along the way. San Fran is a beautiful city, with so much to offer...a couple days there is just never enough!!! Here are just a couple photo highlights. I didn't get as many photos as I'd hoped to.

My Print Portfolio

Its taken me nearly 4 years to compile this portfolio that I'm going to print and actually put in my book. I still have yet to print a single one of my photos. I think that I am really just too indecisive to choose which photos to print. Really, I should just print them all and then pull the best ones for my portfolio~! Printing always seems so...FINAL. But, after much choosing, re-choosing, and changing my mind, this is my print portfolio, for now. Of course it is always being added to, but this will stick for a while. I'm happy with it!

Babysitting Duty - The Moose!

My friends/neighbors went out of town, so I'm on babysitting duty of their 11 week old "Morkie" (Yorkie, Maltese Mix) named MOOSE.
I forgot what its like to have a puppy around!
My 2 year old Yorkie isn't sure how to feel about the little baby, but I'm hoping they'll become friends.
I had to take the opportunity to post a photo of the little bugger!

Mile High Bass Invasion - Mary Anne Hobbs + Skream

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of shooting day one of the Mile High Bass Invasion which took place at Cervantes on Friday night. (Huge thanks to Nicole from Submission!!!) The show was overflowing with bass, and good vibes and intense energy! Everyone was dancing and having a fantastic time from what I could tell. Both Mary Anne Hobbs and Skream are from the UK, and really at the top of their game with the genre of music they produce and play - dubstep. It was a great night without a doubt!
